Scottish and Irish ancestors who built the distilleries in Kentucky brought the art of crafting buildings
and fences of stone. Our stone buildings, all over 100 years old, are of classic design and many historians
consider the Labrot & Graham facility to be the finest example of early distillery architecture remaining
in America today.
The oldest building on the property is our Distillery Building. The first section was built in 1838 and grew in
increments on all four sides through the years. The millstone over the front door was mounted in 1938 on the
100th anniversary of the building's construction.
